Katerina Stefanidi and Johannes Vetter were named European athletes of the year at the Golden Tracks awards ceremony at Vilnius Lithuania on Saturday 14/10/2017.
Stefanidi who won every competition she participated in during 2017, including World Championships, Diamond League, European Team Championships and European Indoor Champs, had a strong competition as Lasitskene, Thiam and Wlodarczyk were the rest nominees.

The European awards ceremonies had more great greek interest. Miltiadis Tentoglou was among the three finalists. Giorgos Pomaski was awarded the best coach price.
