A gold and a bronze medal earned the greek team during the World Junior Championships
Antonis Merlos won the mens HJ clearing 2,23m. in his first attempt, as the Mexican Vilches did too.
Both decided not to compete in a tie-break procedure, so 2 golds were awarded.
Odysseas Mouzenidis was third in mens SP (6kg) setting a new NJR with 21,07m.
Cypriot George Koniarakis was 7th in men’s DT with 58,04.
Nikos Sakis running sub9 min PB in 3000m steeple qualified for the final – and was 10th with 9.02.45.
George Tzatzimakis was 11th in men’s 10000m RaceWalk in PB 42.03.85.
The mens 4x100m. relays team (Papadopoulos,Kaikis,Gravvanis,Garaganis) was 12th in 40.78
Greece was 16th at medal table. First with 6 golds was Kenya (and will probably be the following host of the event)
