The Greek team was 2nd (after Romania) in medal table of the Balkan Championships in Stara Zagora, with 8 gold – 9 silver – 5 bronze medals.
Cyprus had 1 gold – 2 silver – 1 bronze medal.

Paraskevi Papachristou did only two attempts in womens TJ and was measured 14,74m. (+2,1) and 14,60m. (+1,7) setting her as European Leader.
Miltiadis Tentoglou jumped 8,14m in mens LJ
Cypriot Eleni Artymata won the women’s 400m. race in 51.29 – Despina Mourta did a PB 52.98.
The women’s 4x400m. relay team (Karkalatou,Mourta,Zygori,A.Vasileiou) finished 2nd in 3.33.89 and it seems that will be in the top-16 list for Berlin.
