The Greek team won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals during the 2nd European U18 Champs and 12 Greek athletes were qualified and will represent Europe for the 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires

Gerasimos Kalogerakis was 2nd in boys’ JT with 77,45m in his last attempt
Olga Fiaska was 2nd in girls 5000m walking race in 23.39.12
Stavroula Kosmidou was 3rd in girls HT with 65,98m.
Spyridoula Karydi was 3rd in girls LJ setting a new NR with 6,23m.
She also set a new NR in TJ, the first time in qualifications and the second time at the final jumping 13,27m and was 4th, just 2cm far from 3rd place, due to her ..hair leaving mark a little bit behind!
Vasileia Spyroy set a new NR running 9.34.39 in girls 3000m and finished 5th.
Ioannis Kamarinos in 110m. hurdles and Anthimos Kelepouris in 10000m Walking race were also in 5th place.

A new World’s best performance was set by Misha Kokhan (UKR) in boys HT with 87,82m and Maria Vicente (ESP) in Heptathlon with 6221p.
In Gyor, GBR won 6 gold medals and France 12 medals in total. Greece was 17th. 30 nations -including Russia- earned at least 1 medal.
Two Russian athletes competing as Authorised Neutral Athletes won their events, Komarov the Decathlon and Ιgnatyeva the DT.
Irish Sarah Healy won both girls 3000m and 1500m. Italy won both medley relays.
Next European U18 Championships will take place in Rieti/Italy in 2020
